Certification Management
We have significant experience in certification management from several projects. This includes the preparation of a certification strategy based on the Client’s needs and requirements from the authorities.
C2Wind has experience from the US for several years including alignment with BOEM/BSEE on CVA scope and verification work. Extensive knowledge of requirements from the US-specific Regulations (30 CFR 285 and 30 CFR 585) and application of the IEC scheme in the US. Furthermore, knowledge and experience with specific requirements regarding hurricanes.
Project Certification strategy:
- Preparation of certification strategy for an entire offshore wind farm project (floating or bottom fixed).
- Preparation of Request for Proposal (RfP) for certification services by a certifying body.
- Specification of Certification concept and requirements and assessment for feasibility and/or optimization.
- Scoping and planning of certification according to IECRE OD-502 or DNV-SE-O190.
- Input to various main contracts with certification requirements (power cables, WTG, WTG foundations, offshore substation etc.)
Certification body procurement support:
- Preparation of Request for Proposal (RfP) for certification services by a certifying body.
- Procurement of certifying bodies and CVA.
- Participate in negotiation and clarification meetings.
- Prepare tender evaluation.
Certification management:
- Management of contract of certifying bodies.
- Manage the CVA process internally on the project and provide inputs to packages and contracts.
- Conduct meetings with authorities and align on scope and deliveries.
- Package support on specific technical requirements and contract inputs.
